The electrical design engineer is responsible for designing and developing electronic sign products with a focus on customers’ requirements while considering manufacturability, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
the engineer creates the product’s documentation, maintains engineering databases up to date and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and resolve issues.
* design the products with careful consideration of manufacturing processes, operational requirements, maintenance needs, and expected quality standards.
* utilize cad software to create the product designs, incorporating customer requirements, internal specifications, relevant standards, and approved components.
* research, evaluate and approve new parts or solutions for current and future applications.
* generate the wire lists and wire routing drawings.
* generate and maintain bom’s/boo’s/drawings.
* elaborate the factory acceptance test (fat) document.
* generate the configurations for electronic signs and maintain source files and register of revisions.
* troubleshoot firmware releases, bugs, configuration changes, etc.
* support elaboration of product documentation, sop’s, work instructions, etc.
* update databases with new models and revisions, both great plains and the engineering’s drive.
* maintain and support current engineering designs.
* b.s. in electronics engineering with 4-5 years of experience.
* knowledge of product design.
* ability to work from specifications, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
* software: autocad, office, erp-related.
* soft skills (i.e, proficient written and verbal communication, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, time management, strong organization).
* must maintain the highest level of professionalism under pressure.
* ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* ability to interact with customers and all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
