What you will do? Join us in the procurement execution center (pec) as a data eng & automation mgr as part of a is a diverse team of data and procurement individuals. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and manage a team of data engineers and ensure that the etl/elt, dw/dl, data staging, data governance and any other activities accomplish the business requirements as well as managing the different layers of data required to ensure a successful bi & reporting for the pec. This role will work with multiple types of data, spreading across multiple functional areas of expertise, including fleet, mro & energy, travel, professional services, among others. How you will do it? O lead and manage a team of data engineers of different experience levels o responsible for delivering a detailed roadmap on data integration and automation based on business goals. o demonstrate an ability to communicate technical knowledge through project management and contributions to product strategy o be able to implement/build methodologies as well as (understand how to) scale them together with the businesses o manage the entire lifecycle of the data engineering team projects o leads the data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and coding of business rules to support annual procurement bidding activities. o maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models along with corresponding metadata. o deploys data stewardship and data governance across our data warehouse, to cleanse and enhance our data, using knowledge bases and business rules. o ensure compliance to system architecture, methods, standards, practices and participate in their creation o clearly articulate and effectively influence both business and technical resources o create data tools for analytics that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader. o support the deployment of a data standards for different procurement categories. o other procurement duties as assigned. What are we looking for? O bachelor’s degree in related field (engineering, computer science, data science or similar) o 7 years of relevant experience in data roles, such as: data modeling, data engineering, etl development, dba, software engineering or other relevant roles. o excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills o knowledge of data modelling concepts, monitoring, designs and techniques. o knowledge of data warehouse project lifecycle, tools, technologies, and best practices o knowledge of object-oriented function scripting languages: python, scala, c#, etc. o demonstrable knowledge of different applications and market developments for benchmarking the concepts. o technical knowledge of new data feeds development process o knowledge of advanced working sql knowledge and experience working with relational databases. o knowledge in dw/dl concepts, data marts, data modeling, etl/elt, data quality/stewardship, distributed systems, and metadata management. o knowledge on building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. o etl/elt development and lead experience, azure data factory preferred. o strong project management and organizational skills. o experience with nosql databases is a plus to support the transition from on-prem to cloud. o experience with snowflake is a plus. o experience with dbt labs is a plus. o relevant experience with azure devops (ci/cd, git/repo management) o due to the global nature of the role, proficiency in english language is a must
