*job summary*
- responsible to manage assigned production area to achieve the goals of safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and personnel.
- assure the support of the service departments to the production line, making sure that they perform the function and tasks required to assure the resources and conditions to fulfill the production requirements.
- promote the collaboration and joined effort of all the team member towards the continuous improvement.
*responsibilities*:
1. Responsible for the achievement of goals of the key process indicators (kpi).
1.1. S- safety and environmental (accidents and 3q6s gemba walks lead support team, chemical handling).
1.2. Q- quality (scrap control).
1.3. D- delivery (adherence to the production plan, productivity -minutes per piece
- and down time of the line).
1.4. H- human resources. Personnel management (discipline, absenteeism interview and training).
1.5. Overall responsibility to visually show proper pdca when the metrics goals are not met.
2. S- safety.
2.2. Report verbally and immediately report any accident or incident to the medical department and maintenance whenever it applies. Formally communicate any safety event to the assistant manager and business unit manager (bum), participate in the accident qrqc investigation.
2.3. Stop the operation, report and/or escalate to the assistant manager or bum and/or service departments about any unsafety condition in the work area. Assure that all containment actions are implemented by the service department. Participation in the line restart after a safety event is mandatory.
2.4. Assure that all team members behave as required during safety drills.
2.5. Supervise and maintain intervention limits in machinery and equipment (do not surpass limits allowed).
2.6. Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly all metrics associated with this specific responsibility.
3. Q- quality (scrap control).
3.1. Supervise that all the quality reports are done correctly and on time as required by the quality system, for example: first piece release, fails by station records, scrap disposition, components traceability, non-conformity material, etc. As applicable by line as required on the procedure of the area.
3.2. Execute escalation procedure.
3.3. Execute the procedure for material handling of none conforming material.
3.4. Perform job validation of the team members actual vs. work instruction. As applicable by line as required on the procedure of the area.
3.5. Develop monthly training plan for work standard execution (3 people per station). As applicable by line as required on the procedure of the area.
4. D- delivery.
4.1. Escalate any restriction that prevent from achieving the production goal.
4.2. Responsible to properly track daily/weekly/monthly schedule adherence.
5. Overall responsibilities
5.1. Apply, with the support of hr, internal labor regulations when there are violations such as: absenteeism, uniform use, discipline, safety, environmental, quality, production, etc.
5.2. Assure the training of the new hires and new in the operation, trained in the work instructions and critical to quality (ctqs), this applies also to personnel transferred temporarily or permanently.
5.3. Maintain the sfm boards updated with kpi´s, training matrix, layout, safety cross, quality triangle.

- professional competences: 3q6s knowledge, productivity, qrqc, line process, cycle time, pdca methodology, poka yoke, one piece flow, lean manufacturing techniques, tress, ms office.
- general competences: leadership, communication, conflict resolution, team work, motivation or engagement tools.
- intermediate english
*education*
bachelor degree in any field (industrial engineering preferred).
*work experience*
- two years of experience in any area of manufacturing industry.
*certifications / training*
- supervision certification (as a plus).
- leadership certification (as a plus).
