what you will do
* lead comprehensive financial analyses and decision-support activities to optimize the bu's profitability.
* oversee variable overhead (voh) and fixed overhead (foh) expenditures—identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
* perform cost absorption analysis and ensure correct allocation of costs.
* partner closely with the plant operations team to achieve production and efficiency targets.
* track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators to ensure alignment with the annual operating plan (aop).
* generate value-creation proposals through shop-floor evaluations and continuous improvement walkthroughs.
* prepare detailed monthly plant performance reports, p& and cost variance analyses.
* review and adjust month-end journal entries for materials, direct labor, voh, and foh.
* define cost-allocation methodologies in collaboration with operations and costing teams.
* provide reliable financial insights to the operations team and play an active role in capex and opex investment projects.
who you are (basic qualifications)
* bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline.
* conversational proficiency in english.
* minimum of five years' experience in cost accounting and financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* proficiency in sap or similar for generating and managing financial and accounting reports.
* advanced skills in microsoft office, particularly excel.
* solid understanding of price/overhead variances (pov, ppv), scrap control, and standard-cost calculation/audit.
* proven ability to create, interpret, and leverage reports for operational monitoring and control.
