the talent acquisition manager will lead the delivery, execution, and assessment of recruitment initiatives that enable the acquisition of top talent required to meet strategic objectives in their assigned business that will provide j&j with a competitive recruiting advantage.
you will influence outcomes and communicate closely with hiring managers by sharing best practices and using an employee and customer-focused approach to understand their needs and ensure the effective attraction, selection, and development of a high performing, diverse, and sustainable talent pipeline to drive business results in alignment with organizational and functional hr strategies.
you will shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects and will maintain confidentiality and operate with poise and integrity in a complex, high-profile and rapidly changing environment.
finally, you will drive organizational dedication and accountability to deliver operational excellence, business focus and overall development of our people.
as a talent acquisition manager you will provide services to the assigned sector in the region, foster and maintain a close partnership with partners (md's, business leaders, hr partners, between others) to understand the business strategy and advise on workforce planning and other recruiting initiatives.
*in this role, you will be responsible for*:
- lead and motivate a high performing team of experienced recruiters in the ongoing processes of acquiring top talent in alignment with strategic objectives and organizational needs to increase the effectiveness of services while improving the customer experience, increasing quality of hire, decreasing time to fill, and fostering a talent advisor mindset with customers and teams through process excellence.
- keep close contact with stakeholders with focus on business goals and advise on workforce planning and other talent acquisition initiatives.
- motivate team members to achieve and exceed service standards by identifying staff performance gaps, allocating time to listen, and providing constructive feedback for performance improvement.
- assess team members' workload and performance, ensure proper assignment of cases and workload to deliver targeted assessment and selection service levels.
- partner as a talent advisor with internal partners by consistently using an open, consultative, employee and customer-focused mindset to ensure j&j's ability to attract the necessary talent.
- design strategies and tactics for the acquisition of talented professionals in the sector assigned, using inclusion, digital, as well as all ta expertise-based platforms.
- identify talent needs and capability gaps to influence, shape and drive effective recruiting strategies tailored to the most critical talent needs across their respective business.
- responsible for bringing market insights to the business & develop an analytics mindset within the team, providing relevant market information & talent metrics.
- monitor and ensure the accomplishment of all agreed recruitment metrics, taking initiatives to improve processes and ways of working.
*qualifications*
- a minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
- a minimum of 8 years of solid and relevant experience obtained within in-house recruiting environment or agency environment.
- fluent english and spanish.
- strong account management, consulting, and interviewing skills.
- solid customer and marketplace focus; negotiation and influencing skills
- excellent interpersonal communication, customer-service, and organization skills.
- proven team leadership and people management competencies.
experience managing teams in other geographies is preferred.
- demonstrated business acumen skills, as well as evidence of interacting at senior management level.
- analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data to insights.
- the ability to translate a business and recruiting strategies into an actionable plan is required.
- demonstrated success analyzing and presenting talent acquisition data in a compelling narrative that drives data-based impact and decisions for key business partners.
- experience utilizing metrics regularly to manage and maintain performance is required.
- must have the ability to provide clear direction quickly and on-demand to work effectively in an agile environment, handle multiple projects and daily ad-hoc operational activities.
