Operations manager role
we are seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a delivery station.
main responsibilities
* review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, leading a team to meet all building goals.
* support safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
* identify and lead process improvement initiatives using lean tools.
supervisory responsibilities: you will oversee the management of a team, focusing on delivering orders directly to customers. This includes managing a team of process assistants and delivery service providers, ensuring a safe workplace, and addressing employee needs.
daily operations: receive, scan, lift, and move shipments up to 25 kgs. Track and monitor sorting operations and driver dispatch. Continual standing and/or walking is required, averaging 5 miles daily.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or related field.
* flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
* 2+ years of direct management experience and performance metrics analysis.
* fluent in both spanish and english.
preferred qualifications: 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
