to succeed in this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will also wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
you will prepare and cook food, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, test foods for doneness, and monitor food quality while preparing meals.
key responsibilities include setting up and breaking down workstations, serving food in proper portions, washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, and checking appliance and food temperatures.
you will also need to follow company policies and procedures, complete safety training and certifications, and ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
