We're hiring: sales engineer / business development – mexico (monterrey-based)
we are expanding our presence in mexico and looking for a high-impact commercial professional who can combine technical expertise, business development, and sales execution within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
this is a unique opportunity to join a growing operation and play a key role in building the market from the ground up.
what you'll do
* identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across mexico's manufacturing industry (oems, tier 1/2 suppliers, integrators, and machine builders)
* execute proactive prospecting strategies: cold outreach, networking, plant visits, and industry events
* build and manage a strong sales pipeline with clear forecasting and crm discipline
* lead the full sales cycle: from lead generation and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and closing
* act as a technical advisor, working closely with customers to understand applications and propose the right solutions
* collaborate with engineering and operations teams to define customized solutions and specifications
* maintain close relationships with key decision-makers (engineering, production, purchasing, plant management)
* track market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
what we're looking for
* experience in technical sales, business development, or b2b industrial sales
* background in industries such as automation, machinery, metalworking, manufacturing, or related sectors
* ability to hunt, open new accounts, and generate pipeline from scratch
* strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
* comfortable managing multiple opportunities and long sales cycles
* experience with crm tools and structured sales processes
* bilingual: english & spanish (required)
* engineering degree or technical background is a strong plus
