*position summary*
the controller is responsible for the overall finance function, general ledger integrity, compliance, and internal control oversight. This role involves supporting business unit and divisional staff in business planning, financial reporting, financial performance measurement and identify opportunities and implement solutions that will result in greater efficiency and accuracy
*responsibilities*
- report financial results to the division.
- present the financial performance analysis to the business unit and divisional staff.
- review and approve g/l transactions.
- participate in business planning sessions.
- report the business unit status to the divisional staff.
- safeguarding the integrity of the fixed assets.
- following up capital projects investments and status.
- ensure inventory is properly valuated.
- validate and track savings for the earning improvement initiatives.
- ensure compliance with parker policies and government regulations.
- lead the talent management and employee development processes for the accounting team.
- review and approve requests (expenses, vendor, disposals, inventory adjustments, access for systems, agreements, etc.)
- act as legal representative before government institutions.
- record keeping of legal documents

- high knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles. (gaap & mx gaap)
- proficient with government regulations and laws
- bachelor’s degree in accounting. Master's degree is preferred.
- minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- 3+ years leadership experience preferred.
- prior experience in maquiladora or manufacturing industry. (world class manufacturing environment)
- multiple sites experience is preferred
- must continuously maintain the highest degree of integrity, customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
