The product sales sr supervisor provides leadership and supervisory responsibility for a medium-sized operational/administrative team(s) of clerical/support employees. They possess a good understanding of procedures and concepts within their technical/subject area, with a basic knowledge of other areas to understand how they relate to their own. They understand how their team and area integrate with others to accomplish the objectives of the subfunction/job family. They work to improve process efficiencies supporting unit objectives. They have a basic conceptual/practical grounding in policies applicable to the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex or sensitive information. They typically deal with variable issues that may have broader business impact. They influence decisions through advice, counsel, facilitating services, or joint accountability for volume, quality, and timeliness of results. They do not have direct responsibility for financial or resource planning. Their work generally affects their own team and other related work teams. They have full supervisory responsibilities, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and directing daily tasks and responsibilities.
responsibilities:
1. support the sales team in selling products to the existing customer base through portfolio analysis, needs analysis, and customer risk profiling.
2. disseminate information on industry trends, financial markets, and competitive products, analyzing this information for meaningful sales engagement.
3. develop training roadmaps for relationship managers and ensure successful completion of training, including regulatory knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
4. organize customer engagement activities, such as meets and product discussions, to build awareness.
5. conduct joint sales drills with relationship managers to facilitate appropriate product sales.
6. enhance the knowledge level of branch managers.
7. serve as the compliance gatekeeper in the region/branch, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
8. monitor potential sales complaints, cancellations, surrender ratios, lapse rates, and sales complaints.
9. identify and highlight potential financial, regulatory, and credit risks to the franchise.
10. assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding citi’s assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and maintaining high ethical standards. Supervise activities and create accountability among team members to uphold these standards.
qualifications:
* 2-5 years of financial sales experience preferred.
education:
* bachelor’s/university degree or equivalent experience.
