Primary responsibilities
releasing work orders: based material requirements planning suggestion (mrp), as well as tracking work in progress (wip) to ensure jobs are on track.
Create production plans: develop detailed daily or weekly production schedules specifying what products are made, in what quantity and on which line or machine.
Expediting and prioritization: handling urgent customer orders by inserting them into the schedule, which often requires re-prioritizing existing schedule.
Shortages management: identifying material shortages that could halt production and working with procurement (buyers/internal suppliers) to expedite deliveries.
Bill of material (bom) verification: ensuring the current backflush locations are correct and type of materials are allocated to each job.
Control and check errors: taking any corrective action so that deviations from standards are minimized and stated goals of the organization are achieved in the desired manner.
Qualifications
3+ years supply chain role experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred.
Must possess good computer skills including microsoft office.
Bachelor's degree (b. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
Understand that supply chain management spans all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption.
Have detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, product definition, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, shop floor control, arehousing, transportation and purchasing business functions.
