Responsible for developing programs and processes related to occupational health and safety, the environment, property security, training, and organizational development. Coordinates with supervisors, contractors, and general staff to ensure compliance with standards.
responsibilities
* lead the design and development of procedures involving bw staff to reduce incidents, accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
* promote health and safety awareness within the organization through employee communication and training.
* conduct employee training needs assessments to strengthen safety, health, and environmental initiatives.
* develop, coordinate, and execute training programs on safety, hygiene, emergency response, legal requirements, hazardous materials, and related topics.
* ensure that programs meet or exceed the legal requirements of stps and semarnat through training, auditing, and the implementation of corrective actions to promote continuous improvement.
* lead, provide, and ensure compliance with the facility’s safety, health, and environment policy.
* stop production when it poses a risk to employee safety, health, and/or the environment.
* create a culture of empowerment for all bw employees to stop an operation when it poses a risk to safety, health, and/or the environment.
* responsible for compliance with ctpat guidelines regarding the operational control of the entry and exit of employees, visitors, suppliers, and contractors, as well as materials and equipment.
* budget management.
qualifications
* a degree in environmental, industrial, chemical, electromechanical, or related engineering.
* 3 to 5 years of experience in related processes.
* interpretation of laws, regulations, standards, resolutions, and/or agreements regarding safety, health, and the environment.
* in-house trainer for iso 14001 and/or ohsas 18001 management systems.
* iso 45001.
* advanced english.
* budget management.
