the role lead and optimize our wave soldering operations and
through-hole technology (tht) printed circuit board assembly (pcba)
processes. This role will be responsible for process ownership,
continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to
ensure operational excellence, product quality, and efficient
manufacturing in a dynamic electronics production environment. This
position is onsite and is located in our manufacturing plants in
camargo and jimenez chihuahua. Responsibilities - lead, develop,
and manage all aspects of the wave soldering process, including
setup, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of related
equipment. - oversee tht pcba manufacturing processes, ensuring
compliance with quality standards and best practices. - collaborate
with design, process, and quality engineering teams to support new
product introduction (npi), design for manufacturability (dfm), and
process qualification. - analyze process data, identify trends, and
implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects and
improve yield. - develop and maintain process documentation,
including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and
training materials. - drive continuous improvement initiatives
using lean, six sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance process
efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness - provide technical
leadership and training to production staff and technicians on wave
soldering and tht assembly best practices. - ensure all
manufacturing activities comply with ipc and industry standards for
soldering and pcba quality. Qualifications - experience with new
product introduction (npi) and design for manufacturability (dfm).
- familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma, or equivalent
continuous improvement methodologies. - hands-on experience with
process control tools, failure analysis, and root cause
investigation. - proficiency with statistical analysis software and
manufacturing data systems - experience with conformal coating
processes is a plus. - experience with pcba depanelization
technologies is a plus. - basic knowledge on electronics is a plus
to read component polarities and basic functionality. - experience
with reliability testing for tht solder joints such as halt and
hass is a plus. Education & experience - bachelor's degree in
mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering
(or related field). - minimum 2–5 years of direct experience
managing wave soldering processes and tht pcba manufacturing in a
high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment. - proven expertise with
wave soldering equipment, process setup, optimization, and
troubleshooting. - in-depth knowledge of tht assembly, soldering
materials, and ipc-a-610/ipc-j-std-001 standards. - strong
analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive
process improvements. - excellent communication skills, both
