mission
implement and manage projects and resources to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards, as well as ensure that inspection, testing, receiving, processing and finished products are carried out in accordance with the quality system and standards established by the company and customers, and generate plans, procedures and instructions that help in compliance with the quality system and customer satisfaction.
responsibilities
1. propose, lead, and implement improvement projects through data and trend analysis using quality and lean manufacturing tools to eliminate defects or failure modes in the production process, creating an operational culture of continuous improvement.
2. participate in and ensure compliance with safety projects and guidelines.
3. promote and participate in continuous improvement projects, considering the scope of the job.
4. prepare and present executive reports with quality results, which can be presented to senior management and/or the client.
5. deploy senior management's objectives to the appropriate levels, measuring and communicating specific objectives by area, and defining and implementing corrective actions when objectives are not met.
6. manage and develop the assigned team of engineers and inspectors.
7. participate in the proposal, implementation, and deployment of cdfs procedures through ongoing process audits and customer audits, identifying areas for improvement in the processes to ensure compliance with cdfs procedures.
8. understand, evaluate, and raise awareness among the personnel under your supervision regarding customer requirements, disseminating and documenting specific customer requirements to pursue continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.
9. establish the necessary controls to ensure the traceability of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies that will be integrated into the product, through inspection plans, records, logs, and data analysis to maintain product traceability throughout all stages of the process.
10. define and manage product quality measurement methods, as well as the necessary equipment, through msa, capex, and purchase requisitions to ensure that the measurement methods are reliable and secure.
11. ensure that continuous improvement is implemented in the assigned business unit or department by leading, managing, and attending assigned business unit, mrb, and department meetings as frequently as required to achieve and maintain metrics by area.
qualifications
* education: university degree in industrial, mechanical, aerospace engineering or related field.
* english level: advanced english.
* experience: 5-7 years of experience in a similar position.
* certifications: green belt, lean manufacturing, internal auditor (in any standard).
* computer skills: minitab or similar statistical software; quality tools, measuring instruments, calipers, and micrometer; intermediate to advanced proficiency in microsoft office suite.
* other skills: reading and interpreting blueprints; proficient in spc, ncr, car, ppap, fmea, ecr, edr, and msa; knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma.
