Position overviewwe are looking for a proactive onboarding & retention specialist to support newly hired internal employees during their first six months with the company.this role is focused on conducting structured check-ins, capturing employee sentiment, identifying potential retention risks, and ensuring new hires feel supported, engaged, and set up for success.the specialist will act as a key point of contact for employees, helping surface concerns, gather insights, and contribute to improving the overall onboarding and retention strategy.key responsibilities employee onboarding support conduct scheduled check-ins with new hires at key milestones (15, 30, 45, 60 days, and beyond up to 6 months) ensure employees understand their role, tools, training, and support systems act as a friendly and approachable point of contact during the onboarding journey feedback collection & insights accurately document employee feedback, sentiment, and key observations in the system flag critical or "red flag" situations in a timely manner contribute to building a structured dataset of employee feedback for analysis support continuous improvement of questionnaires and feedback processes communication and support build trust-based relationships with employees to encourage open communication maintain a tone and approach that reflects internal company culture (not third-party) help connect employees with the right internal resources when issues arise process & documentation maintain detailed records of all interactions and feedback follow structured scripts while adapting conversations naturally manage multiple employees and follow-up schedules simultaneouslyrequirements: must haves: 1–3 years of experience in customer service, employee engagement, hr support, or similar people-facing roles experience conducting structured calls or interviews (follow-ups, surveys, or check-ins) strong active listening and probing/questioning skills ability to identify risks based on conversations and sentiment strong documentation and organizational skills advanced english (comfortable leading conversations in english)great to have: experience in onboarding, retention, or employee experience roles exposure to hr processes or workforce engagement initiatives experience working with structured scripts, surveys, or feedback collection experience using crm or tracking systems
