essential duties/responsibilities
* prepares and monitors short-term and long-term plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products at the operations.
* assists in providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower scheduling.
* monitors productivity, service, and cost performance across all operational areas and assists personnel in implementing required changes.
* maintains communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise related to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
* assists in studies designed to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations to benefit fedex and its customers.
* prepares management information systems to aid in controlling and developing operational goals.
* participates in special staff support projects.
* ensures that operating plans comply with safety and legal standards.
scholarship:
* industrial engineer or industrial and systems engineer
* english language proficiency with at least 650 toeic or 550 toefl score
* desirable additional knowledge in:
o six sigma
o lean manufacturing
o iso9001 or other iso standards
o supply chain or logistics
experience:
* at least two years of experience working as an operation engineer in manufacturing or service sectors, supporting operations roles such as quality engineer, operations engineer, process engineer, or continuous improvement engineers.
* implementation and management of kpis, such as productivity and efficiency.
* developing procedures and operational manuals.
* mapping and analyzing processes.
* preparing and presenting reports.
* performing cost and benefit analyses.
* training operational and administrative staff.
* experience in time and movement analysis, line balancing, or route calculation.
* leading root cause analysis initiatives using tools like pareto, ishikawa, trend analysis, etc.
* high proficiency in excel; formulas, dynamic charts, macros.
