Overview / purpose condé nast seeks an art production associate to support the production, preparation, and delivery of content for our iconic brands as part of the global art production team. This is not a graphic design role, but it requires a strong design foundation paired with exceptional technical, organizational, and workflow skills. Reporting to the global director of content operations, this role focuses on art production, template management, asset preparation, and quality control, ensuring that content moves efficiently and accurately through complex editorial workflows across platforms and markets. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically fluent in layout and content management tools, and comfortable operating at the intersection of creative, editorial, and operations teams. Success in this role depends less on original design and more on precision, consistency, systems thinking, and follow-through. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical and operational side of design—building systems, maintaining templates, ensuring accuracy, and keeping complex workflows running smoothly—translating creative concepts into polished, production-ready assets in collaboration with design and editorial teams. What this role is a production-focused role supporting print and digital workflows heavily centered on indesign templates, styles, layout systems, and quality control a key operational link between editorial, creative, production, and global teams detail-driven, deadline-oriented, and process-heavy (in a good way) well-suited to someone who likes making complex workflows work better what this role is not a graphic design position a role focused on developing original visual identities or creative direction primarily about branding, illustration, or art direction a portfolio-first job where personal aesthetic is the main output responsibilities responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: support the global director of content operations on special projects and ongoing initiatives, particularly those related to workflow optimization, digital editions, and cross-market content delivery. Prepare, adapt, and quality-check assets for both print and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards. Support the editorial production workflow for assigned stories, including flowing and styling text, applying style sheets, refining layouts, collaborating with editors and designers to resolve fit and formatting issues, and creating/distributing pdf proofs or web previews as needed. Set up, maintain, and update indesign templates, style sheets, and libraries to support efficient, repeatable production workflows. Support administrative and qa of the digital editions workflow, including tracking replica pdfs through the workflow, managing revisions and confirming approvals. Assist with archiving, asset management, and documentation to ensure long-term accessibility and consistency. Desired skills & qualifications 2+ years of experience in publishing, media, or a related production-focused environment. Advanced technical proficiency in adobe indesign (including templates and style sheets); working knowledge of incopy, photoshop, and illustrator; strong spreadsheet skills (google sheets and/or excel) for tracking, coordination, and quality control. Experience working within editorial systems (e.g., k4, cms platforms) strongly preferred. Highly proficient in both spanish and english (written and spoken). Exceptional attention to detail and a strong visual eye for layout and production quality. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, time zones, and markets. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, track progress, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
