job summary
iron mountain is seeking a motivated workforce planning analyst to join our global organizational effectiveness team.
in this role, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and strategic headcount forecasting to ensure our organization has the right talent and skills to meet future business demands.
you will join the global organizational effectiveness team within the human resources function, a group of experts dedicated to strategic workforce planning, organizational design, and advanced data analytics to sustain a healthy, effective and "future-proofed" organization.
what you'll do
in this role, you will:
strategic workforce planning
* maintain skills inventory to understand current capabilities of the workforce
* support organization effectiveness (oe) consultants, hrbps and finance planning partners to develop multi-year headcount forecasts
* provide data driven recommendations on talent acquisition strategy
* provide data driven recommendations on location strategy
data & analytics
* act as the super user for our hr metrics dashboard in looker studio
o provide regular insights to hrbps and oe consultants, monitor trends and identify areas for improvement
o perform deep-dive analysis using workday reports, based on the "hot spot" areas identified in looker studio dashboards
o collaborate with people analytics team to ensure the ongoing maintenance of the dashboards in looker studio and its connection to the workday data source
* support oe consultants in ad hoc analytics requests
* translate data sets into "so-what" insights for hrbps and business unit leaders
* central accountability to track the status and progress of hotspots and action items across all account teams
* look for process improvement opportunities including use of ai to improve and streamline the kpi tracking and reporting process
organization design
* support oe consultants with org design work, including:
o current state assessments
o future state org design - operating models, org structures, job descriptions
o talent and financials tracking
o implementation planning
o project management
* look for process improvement opportunities to automate and streamline
* keep templates and tools updated and continuously look to improve them based on external best practices and lessons learned from internal projects
what you'll bring
the ideal candidate will have:
* data analysis:
o advanced use of excel / google sheets, including expertise in formulas and data manipulation. Experience using workday and looker studio is desired
o experience in analyzing and understanding hr related data and ability to turn data into actionable insights
o skilled in visual representation of data including strong presentation and formatting skills
* workforce planning & organization design experience:
o strong understanding of how org design feeds into long-term financial planning
o proven capability in demand forecasting and supply optimisation. Experience in skills gap analysis and headcount planning
* communication & collaboration skills:
o excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
o ability to collaborate effectively across a range of stakeholders (finance and planning, hr people analytics, hrbps, organization effectiveness consultants, transformation consultants)
o flexible, adaptable and highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive attitude
* education:
o a bachelor's degree in human resources, data analytics or a related field is preferred
