about the role:
lenovo's infrastructure solutions group (isg) is seeking a test engineer – campus hire to join our product assurance team. This entry level position is designed for recent graduates who are eager to begin a career in technology and systems testing.
in this role, you will support validation activities for lenovo thinksystem servers, firmware, and related software. You will learn industry standard testing methodologies, work hands on with server hardware, and collaborate with development teams to help ensure product quality.

key responsibilities:
• execute test plans on lenovo servers
• document defects and test results accurately
• assist with basic network/san setup
• support server configuration (hardware assembly/disassembly)
• identify and suggest automation opportunities
• work with development teams during debug activities
• learn and explore new technologies as part of ongoing development
required qualifications:
• completed bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (diploma is a plus)
• good english communication skills
• no prior work experience required
• interest in computers, servers, and technology
• basic exposure to:
o operating systems (redhat, suse, windows, vmware)
o computer or server hardware
o intel/amd architecture fundamentals
preferred (nice to have):
• master's degree without previous experience
• knowledge of server architecture
• basic programming or scripting
• familiarity with automation tools
• virtualization fundamentals
• exposure to machine learning / ai
• basic understanding of network technologies or protocols (ipv4/ipv6, infiniband, etc.)
