Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Developer with solid experience in Java Spring Boot and PostgreSQL. This role requires someone capable of working on scalable and high-performance systems, with a strong understanding of backend architecture and best development practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working within existing architectures while contributing to continuous improvements. Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, SNS/SQS, Lambda, Kinesis, and DynamoDB would be considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
The professional in this role will be responsible for analyzing and understanding the existing codebase to gain a deep knowledge of the product’s current functionality. They will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java Spring Boot and PostgreSQL, as well as implement new product features from concept to delivery. Additionally, they will work on refactoring and optimizing existing components to enhance the system’s performance, scalability, and maintainability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will also be essential to ensure smooth integration and high-quality software delivery.
Project
The project involves developing a bulk prescription processing system designed to calculate potential cost savings for clients choosing to use a specialized healthcare service. The solution includes a React-based front end that allows users to upload prescription files, while a .NET backend is responsible for parsing the data, running calculations, and storing results. The main focus of this position will be on backend development, ensuring that the system operates efficiently, reliably, and at scale.
