essential duties and responsbilities
* lead and manage all foreign trade and traffic operations for facil mexico.
* lead the foreign trade & traffic team.
* ensure compliance with mexican foreign trade laws and maximize benefits from trade agreements and special programs (immex, iva certification, annex 24 & 30, sector registrations).
* manage and submit accurate usmca (t-mec) documentation.
* coordinate air shipments and inbound/outbound border crossings.
* act as primary contact for audits and requirements from mexican tax authorities.
* negotiate rates with customs brokers and carriers to optimize logistics and freight costs.
* prepare regulatory, tax, and management reports aligned with finance.
* conduct market analysis to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation strategies.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree or master's degree in international trade & logistics, business management, or equivalent experience.
* 3–5 years of management experience, preferably in the automotive, transportation, customs, or logistics industry.
* strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and foreign trade processes.
* solid understanding of mexican import/export regulations.
* knowledge of fasteners is a plus.
* advanced microsoft office skills; experience with erp systems required.
* mandatory experience with annex 24 & annex 30 software.
* strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
* leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
