the principal engineer will plan, schedule, and lead engineering projects at the cuernevaca renal manufacturing site. This role requires applying engineering principles to solve difficult problems from conception to final implementation and involves working with minimal guidance.
what you'll be doing
* scope complex vip projects in the pre‑approval phase, build business cases, estimate savings, timelines, and all resource, capital and operational expenditures.
* schedule and lead a team through the planning and execution of a smaller project or a defined portion of a larger project, including constructing detailed, accurate project schedules and interfacing with development and technical support groups.
* monitor and report project costs, including capital and cross‑functional expenses.
* develop new approaches to complex problems through the adaptation and modification of standard technical principles, utilizing engineering tools such as dmaic, fmea, doe, and statistical analysis.
* break down complex tasks into multiple simpler tasks and prioritize multiple tasks.
* lead a team on assigned work.
* display a solid understanding of theories and practices utilized by other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise.
* proactively communicate with management on courses of action using both written and verbal methods.
* effectively operate in, and may facilitate, cross‑functional teams with guidance.
* provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications.
