Neogen, a leading company in animal safety and food safety is looking for a regional demand supply chain planner.this regional role is responsible for balancing supply and demand by forecasting customer needs - based on local sales and marketing team input - monitoring and optimizing regional inventories, while securing and overseeing the release of supply plan (orders) to neogen central distribution locations.this role requires a combination of analytical skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to leverage technology for data-driven decision-making.essential duties and responsibilities:reviews and recommends mrp settings in the countries erp systems.audits master files setup to ensure alignment with corporate master files (material master, customer master, vendor master (where appropriate).reviews ordering patterns for the neogen locations to ensure inventory levels are within working capital guidelines and will support forecasted customer needs:-improving interco orders to reduce delays and costs associated with ordering from the central distribution locations-reducing excess inventory sitting in the region-preparing and communicate seasonal lifts with the sales team to ensure enough time in ordering for the operations and supply chain teams-monitoring and reacting to outbreaks when they occur.
work with distribution points and/or other regions to obtain needed inventory.reports to supply chain director and regional operations team on weekly/monthly inventory metrics as requested.monitors unproductive inventory to determine best disposition with the appropriate departments.identifies opportunities to drive sustainable service, inventory turns, and unproductive inventory improvements.assists business group operations with capacity planning, demand, and supply synchronization, and executing against strategic business targets.assists regional operations team in communication on backorders and/or tracking order deliveries.plans both short and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory requirements for customer needs.reviews statistical demand forecast for each country and works with local teams to adjust based on business intelligence or planned activities.works with demand planning team to analyze data looking for marketing shifts and/or customer ordering patterns to better position inventory.
