key responsibilities:
* develop and manage master scheduling processes that promote efficiency and resource optimization while meeting customer needs.
* manage supply chain performance indicators such as production plan performance, steel utilization, and order-to-delivery.
* lead shipping processes to meet customer expectations related to on-time delivery using strategies like make-to-order and make-to-stock.
leadership and management:
* direct reports: production schedulers, scheduling analysts, order analysts, nesters, clerks, data entry.
* analyze forecast and sales and operations planning data to develop valid production plans and achievable master schedules.
* lead facility sales and operations process, reporting performance to forecasts, production, and inventory plans in dollars and units.
* liaise with supply chain and operations functions to address demand planning issues and coordinate efforts.
* set and manage shop priorities to achieve customer delivery/promise dates.
* prepare and communicate effective master schedules after collaborating with other functions inside and outside the facility or business division.
* drive compliance and quality assurance for rough-cut capacity planning process using standard supply chain technology.
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in master scheduling, supply chain management, or related field.
* proven track record of improving supply chain efficiency and reducing costs.
