we areseeking a detail-oriented and experienced to join our finance team.this role involves providing support to the controller in managingaccounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting.essential duties and responsibilities: - assist the controller inmanaging accounting operations, including accounts payable,accounts receivable, and general ledger - participate in allaspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting,forecasting, and financial reporting - prepare and review financialstatements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatorystandards - conduct financial analysis and provide recommendationsto support strategic decision-making - drive the month-end andyear-end close processes by being the main journal entry preparerand account reconciler.
- conduct account reconciliations andresolve discrepancies in a timely manner - develop and implementfinancial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliancewith regulations and best practices - participate in the budgetingand forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads toalign financial goals - coordinate and manage external audits,ensuring timely and accurate completion - collaborate with otherdepartments to ensure smooth financial operations - participate ininternal audits and implement improvements to financial processes -provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering aculture of continuous improvement - performs daily, monthly, andannual accounting processes including journal entries, accountreconciliations, and general ledger transactions in compliance withcompany policies.
- assist with monthly forecast, annual operatingplan and year end close and reporting.
- oversees monthly andannual sox documentation requirements and complies with theinternal audit cycle.
knowledge, skills, competencies, andabilities: - strong knowledge of gaap (generally acceptedaccounting principles) and financial reporting standards -excellent strategic thinking and analytical abilities - strongleadership and team management skills - effective communication andpresentation skills - high level of integrity and ethical conduct -strong attention to detail and organizational abilities - excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills - effective communication andinterpersonal skills - ability to work independently and as part ofa team - knowledge of sap, blackline, sage fas, fccs-smartview, andadp preferred.
required qualifications - bilingual proficiency(spanish and english) with high degree of english fluency, bothwritten and verbal.
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, ora related field (cpa or cma preferred) - minimum of 8-10 years ofexperience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 yearsin a managerial position - proficiency in financial managementsoftware and ms office suite (especially excel) - experience in amanufacturing company strongly preferred.
