Your mission, roles and responsibilities
overall responsibilities and duties:
the director of forvia university in north america is a strategic role leading learning & development for the region. This role provides vision, support, and service to bridge the gap between our managers and professionals' current knowledge and goals, related to their functional expertise, leadership, and behaviors within a large business transformation context.
Job responsibilities:
lead forvia university in nao (united states, mexico, & canada) to address forvia’s strategic transformation regarding competencies, behavior, and cultural change. Translate business strategic shifts into learning solutions.
Plan and track forvia university budget, collaborating with the finance team to meet annual goals.
Liaise with internal customers in each division regarding forvia university deployment & follow-up of training programs, establishing monthly network meetings.
Lead a team that organizes, monitors, and evaluates training programs to enhance efficiency.
Drive digital learning, social collaboration, and transformation in north america.
Communicate a vision for innovative learning technology, including its usage and application.
Manage digital learning course development projects from inception to completion.
Leverage the ecosystem of forvia university in other regions (asia and europe) to share best practices and build consistency where appropriate.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop digital and classroom learning resources.
Act as the main contact with external suppliers, ensuring services meet organizational and individual needs.
Serve as an internal trainer for multiple sessions in north america.
Assess potential learning needs and propose training to facilitate internal mobility.
Schedule, organize, and deliver university offerings.
Support other hr and talent management initiatives, including employee engagement.
Participate in or lead global projects in partnership with the global forvia university organization.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
minimum education level: bachelor's degree required; master’s preferred.
10+ years in learning & development, talent management, or related fields.
Experience with various learning management systems and technologies.
Experience in developing and deploying learning technologies.
Ability to build partnerships and influence without formal authority.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Project management and organizational skills.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
International mindset.
Willingness to travel (~10%).
Commitment to ethical standards and adherence to forvia’s codes.
Fluency in english required.
