Position overview the product specialist for mhe & automation will be responsible for driving product adoption and technical sales support across the mexican market.
this role bridges the gap between technical product knowledge and commercial execution, supporting distributors, sales teams, and end customers in understanding and selecting the right material handling and automation solutions.i.
product expertise & technical support
- develop deep knowledge of ep equipment's mhe and automation product portfolio, including electric forklifts, reach trucks, agvs, and warehouse automation systems.
- provide technical product guidance to distributors, sales teams, and key customers during the sales process.
- conduct product demonstrations, application walkthroughs, and solution presentations at customer sites and events.
- advise on product selection, configuration, and application suitability based on customer operational requirements.ii.
product training & capability building
- design and deliver structured product training programs for distributors, dealer sales teams, and internal staff.
- ensure distributors can independently present, position, and demonstrate the product portfolio.
- develop training materials, product guides, and competitive comparison tools for field use.
- track training completion and assess distributor product competency levels.iii.
sales & business development support
- collaborate with the commercial sales team to support key opportunities and project conversions.
- participate in customer visits, technical negotiations, and solution proposals.
- assist in defining pricing strategy and preparing competitive quotations in coordination with headquarters.
- identify automation and mhe application opportunities within logistics, manufacturing, and warehousing sectors.iv.
market intelligence & product feedback
- gather and analyze market feedback on product performance, application challenges, and customer needs.
- monitor competitor product offerings, positioning, and market trends in mexico.
- provide structured product feedback reports to headquarters to support product development and localization.
- identify emerging automation trends and advise on portfolio gaps or opportunities.v.
marketing & brand activation
- support the planning and execution of product launches, trade shows, demo days, and industry events.
- coordinate with distributors on local product promotion and visibility initiatives.
- contribute to the creation of localized marketing and product content.vi.
internal coordination & reporting
- maintain close communication with ep equipment headquarters product, sales, and after-sales teams.
- provide regular reports on product adoption, technical issues, customer feedback, and market activity.
- coordinate with after-sales and service teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.requirements
- bachelor's degree in engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in material handling equipment, automation, or related industrial sectors.
- strong technical knowledge of electric forklifts, warehouse equipment, or automated guided vehicles (agvs).
- experience in technical sales support, product training, or pre-sales engineering.
- excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
- ability to travel within mexico and, as needed, to neighboring countries.
- fluent in spanish; english proficiency is a plus.
