purchasing quality and technology
* sqe responsible for compliance of the quality requirements of the supplier ́s products from the assigned material group,applying disciplines and methods prescribed by the robert bosch overall system.
* support engineering change requestsor corporate social responsibilityprocess when related to assigned suppliers.
* set plans/strategies to develop suppliers to avoid potential future defects including escalation models.
* coach/support other purchasing qualityfunction to ppap completion from assigned suppliers.
* support activities to reduce cost and improve the profitability of bosch in coordination with other commercial purchasing functions.
* support awarding share for americas. Coordination and assurance of active participation with other purchasing rolesfor apqp activities.
* other task that are not describe above but are part of sqeactivities.
basic qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in engineering,materials science, or metallurgy with 3+ years of metal casting industry experience in high-pressure diecasting (hpdc) process in one or more of the following aspects:
o experience in casting process development and process optimization.
o experience in casting related processes (e.g., machining, tumbling, trimming, blasting, heat treatment, metal melting and handling).
o experience in casting tool design, construction and maintenance.
* 3+ years of experience of hpdc regarding casting tooling concept/design. Including, working knowledge of flow simulation (i.e. Magma, etc.).
* 3+ years of leading or participating in multiple projects.
* 3+ years of working with external suppliers / vendors.
preferred qualifications:
* must work well with diverse groups of associates and function independent of direct supervision.
* advanced communication skills, leadership, and project management skills as to achieve:
o teamwork with the development department, you will optimize the design and specifications with regard to requirements of the foundry technology.
o teamwork with the project team and supplier, you will solve technical challenges before sop and during the start-up phase of the project.
o teamwork with our suppliers, you will analyze technical correlations and optimize processes with regard to quality and costs.
* intermediate experience with structured problem solving (shainin red x, kepner-tregoe, 6-sigma, etc....).
* shop floor management know-how.
* proficient computer skills using microsoft office and other applications.
* demonstrated ability to teach others.
* english required; other languages are a plus. i.e., spanish, german.
