The role is focused on finance leadership for our manufacturing (maquiladora) environment.
responsibilities
responsible for leading all financial activities of the site, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and mexican tax immex regulations. The role partners with operations to drive cost efficiency, support decision‑making, and ensure financial discipline and compliance of the manufacturing environment. Oversee accounting records, monthly close, statutory reporting, and financial reporting accuracy. Ensure compliance with us gaap, ifrs, sox, mexican tax regulations, immex, isr, vat, transfer pricing, imss, and local statutory requirements. Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning. Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, and standard costing processes, payroll, cost. Supervise treasury, accounts payable, payroll, tax, and internal controls. Lead internal, external, statutory, and tax audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance. Develop, implement, and communicate accounting policies, procedures, systems, and controls. Partner with operations to identify cost savings, productivity improvements, and profitability opportunities. Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to the finance team. Analyze complex accounting issues and provide recommendations to leadership.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
* 7–10+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with minimum of 5 years in maquiladora and/or manufacturing environments, strong cost accounting responsibilities.
* proven experience managing sox compliance and internal control processes.
* strong knowledge and practical application of us gaap and ifrs standards.
* hands‑on experience with erp systems such as sap, innova, tress, and advanced excel skills.
* advanced english communication skills, both written and verbal.
* advanced proficiency in excel and financial modeling (preferred).
* ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide strategic recommendations to leadership (preferred).
* strong experience in manufacturing environments; aerospace industry experience highly preferred.
* excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
* availability to travel with a valid visa and passport.
