The position has dual reporting relationships with both us-based senior managers and local regional leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior security professional to join a global brand and support the company’s operations throughout latin america. The position will be based in one of two locations in mexico and will require travel throughout the region on a regular basis. Candidates must be fluent in english and spanish, and knowledge of portuguese is considered an asset. Responsibilitiesdesign and enact policies, procedures, standards, training programs, and strategies to safeguard employees, facilities, intellectual property, and other assets. Conduct security assessments at sites throughout the region, collaborating with site management to determine security needs that comply with local laws and regulations.establish and review security standards for suppliers, co-manufacturers, and logistics partners to safeguard supply chain, brands, and assets.conduct a broad range of investigations and offer support for regional crisis management. Partner with local governments and law enforcement agencies to collect and assess intelligence, identifying emerging security risks and trends that could affect regional operations.create security strategies that address a range of risks for expatriates living or traveling within the region.requirements, experience, skills, and competenciesresident of mexico and highly knowledgeable about security concerns across central and south america.fluent in english and spanish required, and portuguese language skills are an advantage.professional experience working both within mexico and in other central and south american countries.a university degree with additional and/or ongoing professional development. Deep knowledge of security policies and procedures gained by experience across public and private sector roles.demonstrated experience conducting cross-border security operations and investigative activities within the region. Ability to travel throughout the region, sometimes on short notice.
