As part of their ongoing commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a Senior Plant Controller to support their finance and operations teams. This role will report directly to the Director of Finance and Administration and will play a key role in analyzing financial data, driving cost optimization, and supporting strategic decision-making at the plant level.
Responsabilities
Finance & Reporting
- Analyze and interpret financial data for various stakeholders including Group Controlling, Division Controlling, and Operations.
- Monitor actuals vs. budget, explain variances, and support monthly financial closings and reporting (IFRS).
- Coordinate and report on industrialization and revaluation processes to ensure cost accuracy.
Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Manage annual and periodic cost analysis activities (including COGS).
- Provide detailed product costing analysis and support cost evaluations.
- Investigate and resolve variances at the process order and product levels.
- Collaborate on recipe templates and master data changes with operations.
Performance Analysis & Business Support
- Evaluate plant performance, support business plans and cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead and support site projects aimed at process improvement.
- Analyze monthly KPIs and provide predictive insights to leadership.
- Conduct investment reviews and cost center follow-ups.
- Contribute to budget forecasts and long-term strategic planning for the site.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a professional accountancy qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO and advanced Excel.
- Solid understanding of costing processes and financial forecasting.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and business acumen.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication in English (fluency required).
Work Environment
- Full-time presence required on-site in Guadalajara.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders such as auditors and authorities.
