Position: quality engineer
grade: bachelor's degree, engineering or technical career
experience: 3 years in similar position
demonstrable skills: english 80%, microsoft office, 8 d's, 5's, quality and environmental systems, statistical tools, core tools.
objective
participate in the achievement of quality objectives and quality management system in the company. Participation in analysis and failure modes that arise in internal and external customer complaints, as well as in manufacturing problems. Support for the elaboration and release of ppap's in all phases, either serial or new product. Participation in product and process corrective actions.
activities
* participation in the design and development of the product and process, inputs for ppap preparation and basis for all required documents such as amefp, pc and hoe. As well as support in first sample activities (ppap) and customer specific requirements.
* preparation of information required for ppap delivery to customers. This includes the registration of the finished product imds; preparation of dimensional reports, capacity analysis, customer's gd&t (if applicable) and their control.
* responsible for the initial preparation of the pc as well as its follow-up and updating. Review and update of amefp of current processes.
* preparation of run and rates reports with customer and those required for apqp release (gate 5). Lead internal run and rates activities, work together with engineering and product for in-process rate improvements.
* preparation and analysis of results obtained from process capability evaluations using statistical tools.
* participate as an internal auditor of production processes and quality systems in accordance with the specifications established in the management manual and local procedures.
* participate as an iso 14001 internal auditor.
* work with continuous improvement and engineering for the implementation of new devices and/or methods to improve process indicators, as well as in the promotion and follow-up of the preventive action process.
* coordination of the planning, implementation and follow-up of internal engineering changes.
* train personnel in activities and programs that enable them to perform their work.
* knowledge of specific customer requirements applicable to the area, management of gm, stellantis and toyota customer portals.
* prepare and coordinate scrap analysis and establish actions for its control and reduction, participating in root cause analysis.
* perform control plan audits and product audits.
* monitoring, analysis and control of the msa (general control of process and product equipment calibration, r&r of equipment and measurement methods and r&r error proofing; calibrations/adjustments to checking fixtures / aids).
* monitoring, analysis and control of spc for process and product characteristics.
* elaborate and disseminate standard operation sheets (hoe's) to carry out process and/or product operations corresponding to new projects, engineering changes. Review and update the current process and/or product sheets, as well as the preparation of inspection instructions.
* request and annual update of ppap to suppliers, monthly evaluation of suppliers as well as scorecard submission, follow-up of critical suppliers to establish actions such as second party audits or request to the supply chain to develop a new supplier when necessary.
* preparation of boundary samples not ok /ok from production and quarantine processes.
* make claims to suppliers and follow up on corrective actions from supplier audits.
* have certification as lead auditor for the performance of second party audits.
