duties and responsibilities:
* detecting and preventing illegal activities at land borders, including detecting and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers.
* responding to electronic sensor alarms, interpreting tracks, and following physical evidence to identify potential security threats.
* conducting checks on farms and ranches, traffic, city patrols, and transportation to ensure compliance with regulations and laws.
requirements:
* previous law enforcement or military experience is highly valued for this position.
* the ideal candidate will have specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
