the job involves developing plans and coordinating resources to manage project scope, specifications, and schedule. This includes interpreting contractual requirements, interfacing with clients, and maintaining close coordination with other engineering disciplines.
key responsibilities include system walk-downs, punch list management, specialized cleaning and flushing, commissioning of topside mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems, and addressing concerns and issues that may arise.
the topsides commissioning team is responsible for construction completion verification, cleaning of key systems, function testing of systems and hardware, and assisting operations in achieving safe startup of the facility.
individuals should have excellent technical, communication, organizing, and planning skills.
additionally, they must comply with the client's safety policy and adhere to contractor site policies. They must intervene when an employee violates a policy or rule and take proactive hsse leadership roles.
they will also participate in site emergency and evacuation drills, notify client management immediately of incidents or hazardous situations, and coordinate commissioning activities both in the planning and execution phase.
they must assure that project scope is divided up into systems that are defined in a manner that supports ease of commissioning, set priorities for system turnover, and ensure safe and thorough commissioning.
key qualifications include a minimum of 7 years of offshore platform commissioning experience and a preferred 10 years in support of upstream projects or production.
