responsibilities
* develop and implement compliance policies
o design, update, and ensure the implementation of policies and procedures that guarantee legal and regulatory compliance across all countries in the region.
* monitor regulatory compliance
o oversee regional operations to ensure adherence to local laws, international regulations, and corporate standards (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, antitrust).
* manage legal and compliance risks
o identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks in collaboration with departments such as legal, finance, hr, and operations.
* conduct internal investigations
o lead or coordinate investigations into potential violations of internal policies or laws, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
* deliver training and awareness programs
o develop and deliver training sessions on ethics, compliance, and corporate policies to employees at all levels.
* perform audits and reviews
o plan and execute internal compliance audits and follow up on findings and action plans.
* reporting and communication
o report to senior management and the global compliance function on the compliance status in the region, including incidents, key metrics, and improvements.
* support in transactions and contracts
o review and validate contract clauses from a compliance perspective, especially in agreements with third parties, suppliers, and strategic partners.
* third-party compliance management
o evaluate and monitor the compliance of suppliers, contractors, and business partners through due diligence and ongoing oversight.
* adapt to regulatory changes
o stay informed about legal developments in the region and adjust internal policies and processes accordingly
