are you passionate about executing innovation, renovation and productivity projects and making a tangible impact? We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead execution and develop exciting projects focused on our grains platform. In this role, you will be on charge of developing and deploying technical solutions across multiple r&d pillars, including innovation, portfolio transformation, productivity, brand stewardship, business continuity initiatives in partnership with all r&d disciplines, involving different platforms and countries delivering great tasting products in compliance with nutritional criteria, cost and time targets.
your responsibilities will include creating high-quality, fit-for-purpose products from bench to industrial scale, aligned with pepsico guidelines and the pep+ agenda. Your work will be conducted following the pepsico stage gate process.
as r&d region engineer your responsibilities would consist of
• lead the technical development of innovation, renovation and tbs, from laboratory prototypes to industrial scale and production start-up, and track product performance. Support r&d with data collection, documentation, ingredient screening, functionality evaluation, and trial runs in labs and pilot plants.
• develop and implement aop innovation projects for grain portfolio aligned with business strategy, nutritional requirements and consumer needs, complying with internal innovation process.
• collaborate with external vendors and ingredients team to add new ingredients to the system and identify new and/or optimized ingredients that drive innovation, productivity, and brand stewardship initiatives.
• partner with the multidisciplinary r&d team, including regulatory, food safety and quality assurance, life sciences, sensory experience, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• lead the product optimization process based sensory data and consumer testing results for launching.
• conduct technical analysis and create action plans to address contingencies and ensure business continuity. Identify, validate, and implement productivity and brand stewardship initiatives for b&g across latam, ensuring regulatory compliance and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• food engineering/ food chemistry/ food technology bachelor's degree or similar
• 1 year experience in the food industry, preference to have r&d background or an equal experience in production/quality.
• product development knowledge (preferred)
• medium level in english language (communication skills, both oral and written)
• great level of decision making, creativity, data analysis, intellectual curiosity skills..
