Repair & maintenance responsibilities
* scheduling repairs, renovations projects, waste reduction improvements, and safety inspections. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
* negotiating with outside vendors/contractors for supplies, repairs, and capital purchases.
* overseeing services related to electrical maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry and masonry, substituting, changing, cleaning, repairing and installing pieces, components and equipment.
* ensuring operating requirements, building codes, and safety regulations are met. Responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment. Responsible for the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
qualifications
requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. May require the following proficiency:
* works under limited supervision for routine situations.
* provides assistance and training to lower level employees.
* problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand.
