position summary
reporting to the director of quality & technical (for production coordination) and the director general (for administrative alignment), this position will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products to internal and international affiliates. The role will work closely with production lines, team leaders, process engineers, warehouse, and logistics to ensure material availability, resource allocation, and adherence to production targets.
responsibilities
* develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with customer requirements and company goals.
* coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
* monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
* analyze production data and prepare reports on efficiency, output, and resource utilization.
* collaborate with process engineers and team leaders to balance workloads and optimize production flow.
* communicate production priorities and schedule changes effectively to all stakeholders.
* support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data and insights on production performance.
* assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliations when required.
mindset, skills & education
* energetic, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
* 3–5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in the metal mecanic or similar manufacturing environment.
* strong analytical and organizational skills with a problem-solving mindset.
* proficiency in erp/mrp systems and microsoft office (excel, word, powerpoint).
* knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
* effective communication skills (intermediate conversational english required for interaction with international affiliates).
* team player with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure.
* full-time, on-site position at the manufacturing plant in querétaro, mexico.
* daily interaction with production lines, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and management teams.
