Senior program manager – gentherm

Impact and opportunity
you will be the primary contact with customers on programs, driving the evolution of gentherm’s north american business in monterrey and supporting its transition to an agile organization. Your work will influence product launches, market expansion, and sustained business growth.
Essential functions and responsibilities
establish and execute program timelines, milestones, and commitments made with the customer.
Maintain ebitda/gross margin per program as negotiated.
Manage project p&l and ensure programs stay within budget throughout their lifecycle.
Lead cost‑saving initiatives and continuous‑improvement activities within the program team.
Ensure clear communication among customer base, gentherm, and all key personnel.
Execute apqp processes from acquisition to launch, including ramp‑up material planning for production start.
Develop detailed program management plans, resource requirements, and overall costs; present status updates at executive program reviews.
Oversee core team, customer relationships, and open program issues; maintain information in the plm system.
Escalate red‑risk items to top management for immediate resolution.
Manage engineering changes for the life of the program.
Maintain technical interfaces during the product development cycle, providing support during field failures or component issues.
Lead program launches, customer audits, and conferences at gentherm or customer plants.
Maintain customer information and system updates for apqp status, milestones, and ecn in the plm system.
Minimum qualifications
bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Experience managing systems with electronic components.
5–7 years of automotive industry experience.
Expertise in program management.
Preferred qualifications
design engineering experience.
Experience in thermal management, pneumatic, or lumbar systems.
Experience with automotive seat systems and/or interiors.
Mba degree.
Working knowledge of apqp, iatf 16949, aspice, and iso 26262 functional safety.
Agile/lean experience as a product owner or scrum master; familiarity with scrum, kanban, or other lean/agile methodologies.
Confluence/jira knowledge.
