we are seeking a skilled storage engineer ii to maintain the uptime and stability of our storage devices.
main responsibilities:
* monitor all storage systems (san, nas) for alerts and errors
* perform storage allocations for file and block systems
* briefly troubleshoot storage-related issues
* scan provisioned storage for os platforms (windows, linux, vmware)
additional requirements:
* create zoning for new servers and clusters
* understand database technologies and architecture
* perform data sync activities for test and dev instances from production data copy
requirements:
* 3+ years storage engineering experience with sans and nas
* preferred: 5+ years it experience in a technical environment
