The successful candidate will enter the regional trainee program, where for 12 - 18 months they will participate in various modules to be carried out in their home country and possibly in other countries within the latin america region. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate will be considered a local manager and assigned as a branch manager in their country of origin or where an opportunity is available.

overview of the position:
the branch manager will oversee daily operations of the coffee business in the country, including procurement, processing, quality control, shipments, and logistics. This role provides comprehensive experience managing a large business in one of the fastest-growing arabica or robusta coffee origins.
key responsibilities:
* design, implement, and manage the coffee procurement strategy in collaboration with the team to meet business volume targets.
* optimize processing and quality resources to maximize capacity and efficiency, reduce controllable losses, and minimize non-controllable losses.
* support infrastructure development to meet volume and operational goals.
* ensure compliance with all systems and procedures.
* manage costs within approved budgets.
* handle counterparty and credit risk management for buying and selling activities.
* lead and motivate the team to achieve high engagement and align with the company's people and coffee strategies.
* assist the profit center head with trading decisions by providing market insights.
* coordinate with regulatory bodies for necessary permissions and approvals.
* develop team capabilities and skills.
additional tasks:
* negotiate with producers for raw material origination.
* negotiate commercial contracts.
* manage the value chain from farm to factory.
* analyze market and financial data.
* oversee logistics from farm to export.
language requirements:
* advanced proficiency in english is required.
educational background:
* university degree; postgraduate courses or mba preferred. Suitable backgrounds include agronomy with a commercial focus, business management (especially in agri-commodities), sales, marketing, or engineering.
experience and knowledge:
* relevant experience in the above areas is highly recommended.
* minimum of 3-4 years full-time experience in recognized multinational companies, exporters, or agricultural commodities sectors after completing studies.
