you help implement the operational excellence program in a specific function and/or for cross-functional continuous improvement (ci) projects. You are responsible for applying ci tools and techniques for problem solving and performance improvement, and you help employees improve their ci skills and build self-sufficiency.

* provide training on ci tools and techniques to help teams through ci cycles and coach employees to achieve their targets
* identify process improvement needs with department leads, facilitate sessions, and support execution of newly established improvements
* validate outcome benefits and support creation of new standards and qualification of members into new working processes after improvements are implemented
* benchmark externally, ensuring that best practice and new tools are deployed in collaboration with internal partners where relevant
what you will bring
* experience implementing ci processes (e.g., tpm for manufacturing, lean six sigma in the consumer goods industry)
* strong facilitation and communication skills
* experience in change management processes
* logical thinking and capacity to influence
* results oriented and prepared to deal with ambiguity
* experience as a continuous improvement manager, team leader, or area manager

* working experience in a quantitative discipline and data science
* strong quantitative background in statistics and linear algebra as well as programming knowledge
* knowledgeable in classification techniques, collaborative filtering, association rules, and heuristic approaches
* understanding of advanced analytics platforms and tools such as r, sas, python, hadoop, apache spark, and familiarity with querying databases
* familiarity generating dashboards and manipulating data visualization software to create kpis and dimensions
roles & responsibilities
* partner with the o9 implementation lead and mds d&a lead to drive the data discovery process (determining what data is needed, where to source it from, how to organize it, and how to make it available for consumption)
* own the plan for all data-related activities owned by the business; work with mds d&a and data leads to monitor progress, report, and elevate issues as needed
* partner with functional data owners and the mds d&a lead to build an inventory of self‑service reports that consume data from gcp and bw for remediation or rationalization purposes
* work with the mds d&a lead to drive training and communications strategies for the self‑service report remediation process with end users in business
* collaborate with bu functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize current data‑related pain points, and work with s4o9 functional teams to develop and oversee execution of ci initiatives to enhance data quality
* manage dependencies and facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to ensure seamless data integration and utilization
* assume the role of business owner to facilitate effective communication, prioritization, and decision‑making throughout the program lifecycle
* data governance and quality: establish and enforce data governance policies, including data quality and related metadata and reference data management
* lead cross‑functional groups to address data issue resolution and/or data quality improvement initiatives
