Project description:
this role coordinates delivery and releases for an in-car accessibility product within an android-based infotainment system, with a primary focus on meeting legal and regulatory accessibility requirements.
responsibilities:
core responsibilities include ensuring compliance, traceability, and correct implementation of accessibility-related changes, while driving quality improvements, defect resolution, and predictable, disciplined releases. Occasional support for new feature development is also expected.
due to the nature of accessibility work, even small changes can have significant user and legal impact, making precision, validation, and strong execution essential. The role operates in a highly complex stakeholder environment, where stakeholders are typically hands-off during day-to-day execution but become highly involved and escalatory when issues arise. Successfully navigating these situations—through transparency, risk anticipation, sound judgment, and resolution under pressure—is a critical aspect of the role.
the role works closely with a small team of android developers. The exact split of responsibilities will be defined once the new hire is onboarded, allowing flexibility based on individual strengths, experience, and evolving product and delivery needs.
mandatory skills description:
complex project/program management: proven track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams and multi-component products with high levels of inter-dependency.
release management: extensive experience overseeing parallel delivery of multiple software releases in a complex environment.
android ecosystem: expert-level knowledge or management experience within the android platform (must-have).
strategic delivery: ability to navigate high-complexity domains; preference for candidates from automotive, aerospace, or large-scale industrial sectors.
senior leadership: minimum of 8+ years of experience in project or release management roles (moving beyond functional analyst or product owner scopes).
