As an** EHS Specialist**, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of corporate safety, environmental, and health programs and standards, ensuring compliance through active on-site management. You will promote a culture of prevention by directly supervising processes, identifying risks, providing continuous staff training, and participating in the emergency brigade, serving as a key reference in operational leadership and continuous improvement.
This position reports to the EHS Manager.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Verification of high-risk activities on the shop floor (such as work at heights, confined spaces, cutting and welding, line breaking, etc.)
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training to employees and the emergency brigade
- Participate in and follow up on incident investigations occurring on the shop floor
- Support compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations related to safety, environment, and health
- Implement and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and systems aligned with corporate standards and local regulations
- Manage access control for contractor personnel
- Conduct inspections, internal audits, and incident follow-ups to prevent risks and improve plant performance
- Collaborate with leaders and operational teams to strengthen the safety culture
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or Engineering in Chemistry, Industrial, Environmental, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar operational roles within manufacturing companies
- English language proficiency (Intermediate level desirable)
- Knowledge of national and international regulations in safety, environment, health, and energy (STPS, SEMARNAT, SENER, CONAGUA, PROFEPA)
- Governmental and corporate inspections
- Risk analysis methodologies
- Management systems such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14001
