About the role:
support the commercial finance team in their efforts to influence the heineken usa sales and marketing functions in making strategic business decisions. Drive business performance management through actionable insights and analyses and the generation of financial and volumetric models and reports.
key responsibilities:
· engage cross-functionally with business process owners (i.e., sales and marketing finance directors, strategic finance, accounting) to understand company performance, provide insights and challenge results.
· act as lead for the budget management process for sales organization, including full ownership of the checkbook process and all related reporting.
· ensure proper spend insight by managing employee mapping within systems and offline reporting
· monitor actual cost development vs. Budget/latest estimates and provide early warnings on deviations as well as corrective actions to accomplish plans.
· support the development of content for the monthly commercial business performance review process, including financial (profit and loss (p&l), vpm) and commercial kpi's (e.g, volume, due-to analyses, market performance). Prepare executive presentations, along with the relevant analyses and insights.
· build financial and volumetric reports to monitor business performance; automate processes.
· support needs of the marketing and sales functions, including kpi reporting and planning.
· build and enhance business critical tools including the month-end reporting package for regional sales finance, national sales finance, and marketing finance.
· support the month-end and annual close process including accruals.
· maintain proper and accurate local commercial financial reporting from sales and marketing by monitoring cost center structure and gl accounts.
· own the data integrity for the business-critical tools and systems (e.g., vpm cube within tm1), including partnering with digital and technology to implement system enhancements and ensure accuracy of data
· develop financial reports for the commercial organization.
· act as an expert for us in analytical and financial reporting tools such as cognos, tm1, basware, nielsen and idig.
· develop ad-hoc financial modeling and reporting as needed.
basic qualifications/requirements:
· undergraduate in business, finance or economics required
· minimum of 3 years of related fp&a experience with demonstration of analytic and information driven experiences
· experience with tools like tableau, or power bi
· experience in data modeling
· excellent computer skills (ms word, powerpoint, and advanced excel expertise
