We are seeking an ambitious sales manager to spearhead sales and business development for our shipbuilding operations. This role will focus on developing a sales pipeline centered on vessel designs in high demand, which the company sources, adapts, and constructs for clients. Key responsibilities identify and target vessel demand opportunities across latin america, the caribbean, and south america. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline focused on specific vessel designs (e.g., tugboats, inland barges, fuel barges, and workboats). Collaborate with management to procure relevant ship designs for market demand and position them with clients. Develop and maintain relationships with shipping companies, logistics firms, oil & gas service providers, port operators, and government agencies. Drive the full sales cycle: lead generation, design presentation, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure. Represent the company at regional maritime trade shows, industry events, and conferences. Provide market intelligence on demand trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities. Report regularly to senior leadership on pipeline status, forecasts, and strategic opportunities. Requirements minimum 7 years’ proven track record in international shipbuilding sales, vessel brokerage, or maritime-related b2b capital project sales. Strong commercial network in latin american, caribbean, or south american shipping and marine sectors. Technical understanding of ship types, specifications, and regulatory/class requirements (abs, bv, imo, etc.). Skilled negotiator with experience handling multi‑million‑dollar contracts and long sales cycles. Self‑driven, with ability to manage regional business remotely while traveling extensively (50–70%).
