responsibilities
partner with internal teams and external suppliers to evaluate, monitor, and improve supplier quality performance.
Lead resolution of supplier-related nonconformances to prevent production disruptions and customer impact.
Drive root cause investigations and corrective action processes, ensuring timely and effective closure.
Review and approve supplier corrective action responses, prioritizing based on business and operational impact.
Identify supplier risks related to product quality or safety and elevate appropriately.
Support supplier development initiatives, including training and continuous improvement efforts.
Act as a technical expert for supplier‑related quality concerns and provide guidance on complex issues.
Analyze supplier performance data and recommend process or product improvements.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations and supply chain teams on quality initiatives.
Participate in audits and ensure supplier compliance with applicable industry standards.
Perform additional duties as needed to support quality and operational goals.
Qualifications
bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related field).
10+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
Strong background in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (e.g., 8d, a3).
Experience with quality systems and tools such as pfmea, control plans, doe, lean, and six sigma.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation (including gd&t).
