*you'll have...*
- bachelor’s degree in an engineering, supply chain or similar
- min of 2 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing and/or manufacturing
- experience with project management in supply chain or mfg-related fields
- willingness to travel up to 40% of the time and support launch activities at our north american warehouses (mexico, canada, usa)
- microsoft office experience to include word, outlook, excel and powerpoint
- experience with data analytics, comfortable with managing and cross-referencing data from multiple sources
*what you’ll do*
you will:
- assist the external warehouse team with opportunities and actions to help drive cost efficiencies to meet our annual cost targets
- support warehousing launch activities, tied to new model launches, capacity actions, supplier resourcings, stockpiles, etc.
- support studies for ford-managed stockpiles, where warehousing is required to support struggling suppliers and/or supplier resourcing actions
- benchmarking of other automotive and non-automotive warehousing operations to help identify processes and solutions which can be applied to ford external warehousing operations
- assist with struggling warehouse providers in mexico and the us as needed.
- investigate and execute sequencing and repacking operations which result in enterprise cost savings
- develop executive summaries and presentations to clearly and effectively communicate issues, interim containment actions and permanent containment actions
- lead modernization projects, where you will document and obtain cross-functional alignment of warehousing strategies and standards
- create purchase orders and maintain them on ariba, including tracking of invoices
- be able to operate in high stress situations
