responsibilities
- develop and implement procurement strategies to support the operations of the company. - manage and lead a team of buyers and other purchasing staff, providing guidance on procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation. - evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. - monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as needed to meet demand. - coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. - continuously evaluate and improve the procurement process to increase efficiency and reduce costs. - analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. - ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement procurement best practices. - develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including negotiating favorable terms and resolving any issues that may arise. - proven experience in strategic procurement and supplier relationship management. - strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. - proficiency in microsoft office and purchasing software. - ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. - knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
qualifications
- bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. - master degree desirable - 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. - good english communications skills – written & verbal. - strong project-management skills. - computer skills – proficiency in microsoft-office suite
physical & environmental demands
- the role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams. - required to wear personal protective equipment (ppe) and adhere to safety protocols. - the role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer. - occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits - work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
