Accounting operations lead in mexico city office
workflow & task management
* oversee daily task assignments, capacity planning, and workload distribution across the mexico city accounting team.
* ensure tasks are completed on time and escalate bottlenecks before they affect deliverables.
* ensure deliverables are completed on-time, participating actively when needed in the operations required.
* monitor progress in accounting systems (e.g., qbo, me/ops tools, internal trackers) and reinforce task discipline.
* run daily or weekly stand-ups to re-prioritize based on upcoming deadlines (weekly p&l, month-end deliverables, payroll, etc.).
process & quality control
* enforce accounting and bookkeeping procedures, making sure the team follows established sops.
* identify recurring errors or quality issues and implement corrective training.
* partner with leadership to refine processes and introduce workflow improvements.
* ensure consistency across clients and across team members.
training & development
* train new hires on tools, accounting processes, client-specific nuances, and quality expectations.
* maintain training materials, sops, process guides, and onboarding documentation.
* provide ongoing coaching and skill-building for the team (gl review, reconciliations, sales validation, ap/ar workflows, etc.).
* conduct periodic evaluations of staff performance related to process adherence and skills.
communication & coordination
* serve as the bridge between the mx office and the u.s.-based leadership team on workload, performance, and issues.
* document operational challenges and propose solutions.
* assist in coordinating coverage around holidays, capacity issues, and sudden client escalations.
qualifications:

in an accounting, bookkeeping, audit, or financial operations environment.
* proven experience managing workflows
